J. Kirk Menard, President

Kirk Menard brings more than 20 years of human resources and administrative experience to the field of executive search. For ten years, he served as Vice President, Human Resources for the Sterling Research Group Division of Sterling Drug, Inc. where he was responsible for all worldwide human resources programs including recruitment and selection. He has a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the staffing needs of the pharmaceutical industry.

Mr. Menard received a B.S. degree from Cornell University and a M.B.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

 

William Miner, Executive Search Director – West Coast

Bill Miner’s training and experience bridge the disciplines of pharmaceutical research and business management. He has owned and operated a professional veterinary medical practice as well as having served in a series of increasingly responsible pharmaceutical research and product development positions with Beecham Laboratories and Sterling Drug. His responsibilities have included product development, pre-clinical and clinical research, regulatory affairs (FDA and EPA), manufacturing and marketing.

In addition to his technical skills, Dr. Miner has served as Vice President and General Manager of operating business units of the Continental Grain Company, domestically and overseas.

Through his personal, hands-on experiences, Dr. Miner understands the value of both technical skills and business judgment in a company’s success.

Bill joined Menard International Search, Inc. with responsibility for developing client relationships and managing searches.

Dr. Miner received B.S. and D.V.M. Degrees from Washington State University.

 

Sarah Menard, Executive Search Director – Boston Area

Sarah Menard is an experienced business professional with a background in management, marketing and talent management. Most recently, Sarah has been a Consultant providing expertise in talent management to help organizations select, develop and retain employees to achieve high-performance cultures. Prior to this role, Sarah’s career included positions as a professional Coach and Consultant for Dialogix, and for the Global Talent Management Organization at Brink’s. Sarah also managed and facilitated an executive learning program for Forrester Research for seven years, serving clients in a variety of industries including pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

Sarah is leading Menard International’s outreach to existing and new clients in the greater Boston area.

Sarah received a M.A. in Organizational Psychology from William James College and a B.A. from Colgate University.

 

John J. Morris, Executive Search Director

John Morris is an experienced business professional with corporate, consulting and industry experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, healthcare and consumer products.

John has served as a senior financial executive for several companies including Otsuka, CRI Worldwide, Reliance Clinical Research Services, Laureate Biopharmaceutical Services, Accenture and Sterling Drug.  He has a strong understanding of business operations, including clinical development, manufacturing, quality, sales & marketing, and corporate development.

John joined Menard International Search, Inc. in 2014 and supports the firm’s business development and candidate interviewing activities.

Mr. Morris holds a B.S. in Accounting from St. Peter’s University, an M.B.A. in Finance from Pace University and is a CPA.

 

Max K. Rausch, Executive Director, Talent Acquisition

Max Rausch has extensive and professional recruiting experience. For eleven years he held key HR positions at The Sagamore, a world-class luxury resort, where he directed recruitment, benefits, training and professional development activities. He has developed successful innovative international initiatives and has developed strategic staffing programs. Max has strong database management skills and is adept at using information technology in candidate identification and sourcing.

Max joined Menard International Search, Inc. in 2006.

Mr. Rausch received a B.S. degree from the State University of New York at Oswego and an M.B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany.

 

William F. Sheldon, Sr. Search Consultant/Research Specialist

Bill Sheldon began his career in professional recruitment as a career development professional in higher education. He later became a professional recruiter and Director of Employment for the R&D Division of Sterling Drug, Inc. He has supported technical and scientific managers with a strong grasp of the many issues which impact professional staffing – compensation and benefits, organizational relationships, employee relocation, and career management.

Mr. Sheldon received a B.S. degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo and a M.S. degree from the State University at Albany.

Ellen Menard manages all aspects of Menard International’s administrative functions. This includes contractual arrangements with clients, search records and candidate profiles.

Ms. Menard has an extensive background in administrative and office management.
